SPECIFICATIONS
Acceptable programs for page layout include Mac or PC versions of the following:
· Adobe Illustrator
· Quark Express
· Adobe Photoshop
We do accept Photoshop files,
but we advise that you do not prepare your entire layout in Photoshop as the resolution that is ideal for images
will cause your type to appear somewhat jagged. If you choose to submit only Photoshop files, avoid typesetting
small text (7pt or smaller). For best quality, set type in Illustrator or Quark.
Please take note of the following:
· All photos should be scanned at 300 dpi or 300 ppi.
· Color pictures should be CMYK and NOT RGB.
· Scans/Images should be saved as TIFF. (Do not use LZW compression)
· All images and fonts should be included.
· Please provide a hard copy of all booklets and CD face.
· Artwork should be submitted on CDR, Zip disk, or uploaded to our FTP site.
· Please use SK Audio templates.
When using Illustrator, please
submit .ai files for each item (CD, Tray Card, Front Panel, Back Panel). Please embed all images and convert text
to outlines/curves. Please make sure images are either greyscale or CMYK prior to embedding, as Illustrator doesn't
convert RGB during embedding.
For Quark Express or Photoshop, please submit the Quark or Photoshop
program files (.qxd or .psd). Provide all images and fonts.
Artwork Specifics
Min. width 0.2MM for Lines & Type/Min 5pt for Standard Type, 6pt for Rev Knockout Type/Recommended to use SANS
SERIF Typefaces for Small Font Sizes/Trapping 2pt. Keep Artwork within Print Area.
File correction if not in spec = $ 25 / 30 min.
